After graduating from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science in 1998, Song K. Hong spent the next six years working in the Banking and Health Care Industries.  In 2004 Song started an agency from scratch known as Captive Agent “selling insurance for one company” from his basement in Oronoco, MN, doing business as Song Hong Insurance Agency.  In 2005 the agency moved to a 145 square foot store front office in Rochester, MN.  In August 2006, the Agency was incorporated in MN and changed its name to Song Hong & Associates, and in October 2007, SHA Insurance left the Captive site and became Independent. Today, SHA Insurance Agency is a full service Independent Insurance and Financial Services Agency providing services in three languages – English, Chinese, and Cambodian.
Since 2004, SHA Insurance Agency has served individual and commercial insurance needs throughout the Southeastern Minnesota and Twin Cities areas. Our goal is to maximize our client insurance protection with the best companies that provide superior claim service at the best price.
